Spring Fishing Reports

CAPTAIN BRAMSON’S FISHING REPORT

Even though we have been experiencing up-and-down Spring weather, we have had some really good fishing in the last couple of months. The Tigers, clever fish that they are, know ahead of time when a cold front is approaching so they go hunting the tilapia before this while the water is still clear and warm. And that is when we have had some great catches in Hippo Bay, Crocodile Bay and Mosquito Bay. We have had success with sardine as the water has been too murky to use spinners or rapala. We expect that this weather pattern will continue through the next couple of months, so no doubt we will have really good days and not-so-good days in the fishing boats.

On 24 July, Jarred Swanepoel caught this big 4.2kg tiger off my boat, Shayamanzi ll.

CAPTAIN ADAM’S RESPONSE TO BRAMSON’S REPORT – AS USUAL, THE COMPETITION IS ON!!

“I’m starting tomorrow. I will show u that i don’t catch big fish by lucky but by knowledge. Tactics. I can see it have been a while without a 3kgs since i pulled 4,8kgs big fish. It’s time for new big fish now. I promise you so. Watch my trip boss”
