Captain Bramson’s Fishing Report
Coming to the end of 2015 was a difficult one as we saw heavy storms drive rain away and KZN being pronounced a drought stricken province! Also so many dams and rivers stopped flowing for the first time in more than 12 years, especially the Pongola river.Captain Bramson
With regards to fishing, it was the most memorable time of the year because we recorded the most and the biggest fish. The average catch was 20 fish per day per cruise, and the biggest was 4.5kg. Most of the fish were caught on the South Eastern end of the dam.
It proved the saying right that says “less volume of water more fish caught”. To all of you fisherman heading to Northern KZN, come to Shayamanzi Houseboats, to sit back and relax coz the fishing guides here know it all. Catch with Sardines or Rappalas and Spinners we know what is the best at that moment. Thank you so much, meet you here!
